Don’t remove a server that’s in use by an account unless. The servers available to you and the accounts that are using them. Check the Incoming Mail (IMAP) server setting. To change these settings in the Mail app on your Mac, choose Mail > Settings, click Accounts, click Server Settings, click the outgoing Account pop-up menu, then choose Edit SMTP Server List. A window will open with tabs, click on the Servers tab. Go to the Accounts tab and then click Properties. Heres a list of those settings for several email providers. Open Windows Live Mail and click on your Runbox account in the left column to highlight the name of the account. Important Note: Incoming Mail Server (POP) allows connections only on port 995, and TLS encryption is not supported. Youll need your email providers incoming server settings (POP or IMAP) and outgoing server settings (SMTP). It uses SSL encryption on port 995 for the Incoming Mail Server (POP) and SSL encryption on port 465 for the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP). Place a check next to Mail and click Add Accounts. The drop-down window displays a list of apps on your Mac that can make use of your Gmail account. Enter your Gmail email address and password, and then click Set Up. Follow the steps below to setup your email address in the Mail app on your Mac (Catalina, Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra). We also have instructions for older versions of Mac Mail. By default, Apple Mail automatically manages the connection settings. Select the Mail, Contacts & Calendars preference pane.
